I had been searching for the essence and the mysteries of faith when, while in Palermo, Sicily. I happened to come across what for me was a mystifying ritual:
Two women in fervent prayer prostrating, bending and crossing themselves in front of a crucifix in a Greek Byzantine Christian church in the heart of Palermo. An enigmatic theatrical liturgy, that is still elusive.
The video seeks to elicit in the viewer a sense of wonder, curiosity and the role of the sacred in a secular world.
